Sango Fighter 2STORY / GAMEPLAY
The story takes place around the Three Kingdoms period of the Chinese history and it is very similar to the Street Fighter and Samurai Shodown games, but this time, with historical context. The game includes 5 additional characters to its predecessor (Zhang Liao, Gan Ning, Taishi Ci, Huang Gai and Sun Ce) and each of the Chinese warriors vary from skilled melee fighters to powerful magicians. On the Arcade Mode, you may select one of the 16 available warriors and fight your opponents in one-on-one close quarters combat. Each opponent has his/her own (different) stage and the objective of each round is the usual of the genre: deplete the opponent's vitality before the time runs out. Aside from your energy bar, Sango Fighter 2 also features a power bar that fills up during the battle. The bar needs to max out and it then delivers a special move with increased damage.
Of course the game has a two-players mode in which you can play against a friend, although the keyboard lags a bit when both players are issuing complex commands.
Apart from the classic one-on-one fights of the Arcade Mode, some cool strategy concepts are thrown in. You can select to play in the Story mode in which you can attack and occupy the most important regions in China. When attacking a region, you may choose how many soldiers will siege. The battle begins with your troops against the enemy defending forces and the last opponent is the forces' General himself.
Sango Fighter 2 is great although its few gameplay glitches such as the unresponsive (sometimes) movements and the frame-rate problems in the characters' animations.

GRAPHICS / SOUND
As already said, the graphics are great. All opponents have their own stage like small villages, beautiful natural environments and more, and they all look amazing and very colorful! But some glitches on the animation limits the ability to perform some cool combos and the controls sometimes feel unresponsive.
The game's sound is good, offering several sampled sound effects whilst there are several nicely composed Chinese-style tunes between loading screens and during each fight.
